We are in Whitehorse, Yukon. A nice Best Western, but cannot figure out how to get the wifi...had lots of help and even had a couple of drinks with one couple who tried to help...but no luck. We saw bears number 4,5,and 6 today. A mom and two cubs along side the road. They were faster than our camera and escaped documentation. It was so awesome to see her stand up and look at us and then retreat with the cubs to the wood line! We plan on getting to Alaska tomorrow. Hopefully we can send pictures then. We can't think of enough superlatives to describe the landscapes.
Elsie...the road is much better than old route 50 to Ohio! Can go at least 60 on most stretches. A few rough sections with gravel patches, but over all a great road. No problem with getting gas and the truck's tank holds at least a days worth.
